Review after some time using the best pick I've ever played with.

Best pick ever. I have used it for a couple weeks, and my big concern that it was too smooth to stay properly oriented is not an issue. It seems titanium is naturally grippy when playing, and I'm actually confused at the physics of it. I won't go back to my cut coin picks again. I did love them despite their tendency to wear down. Problem solved. Feels better, plays better, and will outlive me. I should probably order a backup in case I lose it.

I've been playing coins cut into a Jazz III shape, which I find works very well for me. The issue I've had is that coins have a higher copper content, so the tips do wear down, though slower than most other pick materials. I can't speak to the longevity of this titanium yet, but I'm guessing the wear problem is now solved. The tone and attack is very controlled and smooth, without any weird pings or other strange sounds. My only issue is how smooth the pick is, so I'm not sure in an extended live situation if I risk it spinning due to a lack of texture on a smooth, polished pick. I am new to this particular pick, but if the initial playing proves to continue long term, I will be surplussing the rest of my metal picks.
For those wondering about metal picks, I don't like them as much on an acoustic as they have a distinct tone on the strings which the acoustic accentuates. I still play stiff, thick picks, but composite materials sound better to my ears when I play acoustic. On an electric, however, the story is different. I've been using metal picks for about a decade, having shifted over from agate, and once I moved over, never looked back. Some adjustment in how you hold the pick, particularly how firmly, from composite picks is required. With this adjustment, it is possible to exceed the dynamics of a regular composite pick. Less tight, and the pick can sound soft. Grip and dig in, and the guitar will come alive beyond what I can get with a regular pick.
